Give voice to issues you care about using the too of design and printmaking
I am looking forward to putting our printing press to work this summer! This week is for 8-12 year olds. We will be at our barn for the week with two days of printing at our shop in Bristol. We will focus on designing and creating a block print that will end up on a T-shirt (as well as some paper proofs)
- Art projects will be carving a linoleum block, playing with monotypes, drawing and designing a print.
- We will investigate printmakers the kids find inspiring, when printmaking started and how it has influenced surface design, communication and graphics.
- linoleum, woodblock, monotypes, solar and potato printing with a focus on surface design!
- We will Most definitely have free play time and exploration as well.
-Normal day in terms of the over all schedule and what to bring:
-BAG LUNCH (please include something for a snack as well)
-SWIM SUIT & TOWEL
-WATER BOTTLE
-SUNBLOCK
-RAIN JACKET & MUD BOOTS
